Born in Sopela, Spain, Iñaki Bermúdez is a professional classical saxophonist. He is a Yamaha Music artist, Daddario Woodwinds artist and JLV artist. Graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Dance de Paris, KCB Brussels and Conservatori Superior Liceu de Barcelona, Iñaki Bermúdez has developed an international career performing as soloist and with different chamber music proyects. Throught his musical career he has been awarded in several international competitions like being Finalist in the Classic Winds International Saxophone and Clarinet Competition Tel Aviv, first prize in the 34th European Competition for Young Soloists Luxembourg, 2nd Prize in the International Anton GarcÃa Abril Competition or 2nd prize in France Musique competition. He has played as a soloist with orchestras like the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra or Bilbao Symphony Orchestra although he has also performed with orchestras as the famous Ensemble Intercontemporain de Paris, OLC or Ensemble Regards as part of them. Active also as a guest teacher, he has been invited to give masterclass in several conservatories: Conservatori Superior Liceu de Barcelona, LUCA School of Arts, Belgium, Conservatori di Bari, Italy, Encontro Galego de Saxofón in Santiago, Conservatorio de Villena, Valencia, etc. Actually finishing his residence as an artist in Cité International des Arts in Paris, his musical activity has been suported by the Agustà Pedro i Pons Foundation, the Bizkaia Provincial Council within the Young Artist program and NYSMF (New York Summer Music Festival).
